Music Monday: Oingo Boingo – Whole Day Off

Whole Day Off by Oingo Boingo on Grooveshark

When we got up this morning, James declared that the song of the day was to be Oingo Boingo’s Whole Day Off in honor of Hurricane Sandy and the fact that there’s pretty much nothing you can do but take the whole day off.

We went out a couple of times today… We took a walk to the RiteAid around noon to pick up cigarettes and soda and it was drizzling then with some occasional gusts of wind, but no different than any other blustery fall day.

After coming home and talking to his mother and grandmother, James realized that he needed another 9×13 pan to accomplish the pulled pork he had set out on so we ended up having to leave the house a second time to go to the grocery store, which we did around two… It was far more windy at that point but not really any more rainy.

We did some dishes. We took a nap. We did some more dishes.

We stuck our heads up above the surface to see what the weather was like about 6:30…. Quite windy, decided it wasn’t wise to be standing outside and came back in. We hear it whipping by outside. The lights have flickered a couple of times but haven’t gone off. I’m hoping they stay on. I like my power. And my Internet.

Stay safe, Northeasterners.
