It’s been forever since I’ve done Sunday Confessions… but IT’S BACK!
1. I’m spending more time out doing things than spending my time on the computer for funsies. I find this is a side effect of having a “real job”. I get up. I go to work. Then when I’m out of work I realize, “HEY! Since I’m already out, I might as well see if I can go out somewhere and not rush right home to sit at home on the Internet like I’ve been doing all day at work!” I came straight home after work once in the past week, and the only reason I did that was because I had a life coaching call scheduled with the lovely Ashley of Your Super Awesome Life.
2. I’m having a hell of a time finding the time or energy to blog. It mostly goes back to the reasons in confession #1. I’m suddenly not home much and I don’t spend ridiculous amounts of leisure time on the Interwebz. It’s not that I haven’t tried to write posts, it’s just that I write half of something and get distracted and never finish it and hit submit.
3. I’m all about Twitter right now. I spent the past six months being a total Facebook fiend and practically ignoring Twitter, and then all of the sudden I’m back to work and obsessively hitting refresh on Twitter. What’s up with that?
4. I am SO excited that Word Up has reopened in my hood! Word Up is a community bookshop in our neighborhood that’s all volunteer run and sells mostly used books for affordable prices (most are $2-$5). They closed last August after their lease was terminated, but they didn’t give up! They had a successful Indiegogo campaign and reopened this past Friday in a new location. James and I stopped in to check out their new place yesterday and came home with a stack of books.
5.I have been in a shitty mood most of the weekend because my left hip is KILLING me. Clearly this means I need to set an alarm for 5pm to remind me to wander over to the Gentle/Restorative Hatha class that starts at 5:30pm so I can just some movement in. I feel like every time I stand up my hip is all like, “You’re a fucking bitch!” I figure it’s just because I’ve been doing a ton more walking now that I’m commuting all the time.
